Man who ‘threatened to massacre fellow students’ arrested on suspicion of terror offences

A Spanish student has been arrested after he allegedly ‘justified Isis attacks’ and threatened to ‘massacre’ his fellow students in class.

The 27-year-old computer studies student has also been accused of telling classmates he wanted to join Isis and watching the terror group’s propaganda videos during lectures.

Officers said he was held after returning to Spain after visiting Turkey.
Police also believe the student had fake social media profiles that he used to air extremist views.
An 18-year-old man has been held in the same police operation on suspicion of glorifying terrorism.

He is also accused of justifying the Paris attacks (Picture: National Police Corps)

‘There he shouted out in public several comments justifying the November 2015 Paris attack during a minute’s silence.
‘He also justified publicly and on numerous occasions two Isis attacks which caused loss of life, claiming that Islamic State is the ideal place for a Muslim to live and telling his classmates he intended to join Isis.
