New York to Paris flight diverted to use Irish toilets — loos on Open Skies plane not working

A transatlantic flight from New York to Paris was diverted to the Republic of Ireland so passengers could use the airport's toilets.

Open Skies flight BOS-4 landed at Shannon Airport just after 7.30am on Monday.

The BBC reported that the 172 passengers had an "urgent need" to use the toilet after those onboard became unusable.

The journey continued just after 9.30am.
