We'd definitely watch this…

Conor McGregor v Nate Diaz turned out to the a compelling rivalry in 2016 as both fighters earned victories over the other in two of the biggest fights of the year.

Diaz submitted McGregor at UFC 196 but in their rematch at UFC 202, it was The Notorious who emerged victorious via a decision victory.

Immediately following their second fight, there were calls to make it a trilogy, but McGregor went his own way and made history by defeating Eddie Alvarez to claim the UFC lightweight title and become the first fighter in history to hold two UFC titles simultaneously.

ddddddddddddddddddddd

Longtime UFC commentator Joe Rogan does have his own interesting take on who McGregor should fight next, and although he thinks it should be a Diaz, he doesn't think it should be Nate.

“I think they missed the boat if they wanted to make the fu*king big money,” Rogan said on the Joe Rogan Experience earlier this week. “It’s Nick Diaz vs. Conor McGregor.”

Nick Diaz hasn't fought since he lost a decision to Anderson Silva in 2015, which was subsequently ruled a No Contest after both fighters tested positive for banned substances. Following the loss he was given a five-year ban for testing positive for marijuana during in competition testing but this was reduced to 18 months following an appeal.

hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Although Rogan seems keen on the idea of the pair facing off, Nick is a larger man than his brother and would have a significant size advantage over McGregor should they face off.

“I think Nick is like, ‘Look, I want a big, big name, or a title fight,’” Rogan said.fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff

Nick Diaz holds notable wins over former UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler and BJ Penn and has been in the headlines recently for calling out current 170 pound champion Tyron Woodley.
