More than 5,000 Ukrainian soldiers hurt in Donbas conflict zone

More than 5,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been wounded in the Donbas conflict zone during the Anti-Terrorist Operation, Director of Military Medical Department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Verba said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday. This is reported by Coruption.Info.

"Over 5,000 soldiers were injured or wounded in the Donbas conflict zone," he said.

Verba also said that a total of 108 Ukrainian servicemen had received treatment abroad, 88 of whom had fully recovered.

"As of March 31, a total of 38 Ukrainian servicemen are being treated abroad. In particular, the Ukrainian soldiers were treated or rehabilitated in Germany, Israel, the United States, the Baltic States and Bulgaria," he said.

As reported earlier, about 1,500 wounded soldiers were treated in medical institutions.
