HEARTBREAKING stories are emerging about the people ruthlessly murdered by three depraved suicide bombers at Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport.

Islamic State terrorists slaughtered 42 defenceless victims when they blew themselves up at Turkey’s busiest airport.

Among the dead is Serkhan Turk, a 24-year-old physical education graduate, who had rushed to the airport to meet his mother.

He was killed by the second bomber after he went to help the victims of the first blast.

Yusuf Haznedaro?lu, another victim, was due to marry in 10 days and heart wrenching pictures have emerged of him with the woman who was due to be his bride.

Yeni Ise Girmisti had just started a new job and was also reportedly about to get married to Gül?en Bahad?r – a TGS Yer employee who is understood to have been shot.

In a post on her Facebook page a week before, Bahad?r wrote: “I accept, I love and thank you, everything in my life.”

Yesterday, a friend wrote on her Facebook page: "Rest in heaven with a beautiful human…"

A heroic customs officer who died in the process of saving potentially hundreds of lives has also been named as Umut Sakaroglu.

He was standing guard as a terrorist tried to go through the first set of security.

Realising the danger people were in, it appears Sakaroglu shot at the suicide bomber, who then detonated his belt, killing the customs officer.

His colleagues say had he not acted, many more people would have been killed.

A source said: “The explosion came very close to areas where passengers are waiting for people.

“Unfortunately, at that moment Sakaro?lu was martyred. But if not for that intervention, there would be more casualties.”

The first funerals were conducted on Wednesday in order for the victims to be buried within 24 hours, in accordance with Muslim tradition.

The coffin of customs officer Siddik Turgan was carried to the service by dozens of family members, while his distraught daughter watched on, reaching out to her father's coffin.

Airport taxi driver, Mustafa Bayrakli, 51, was also among the dead and his coffin was given a guard of honour from other taxi drivers who were visibly moved by the atrocity.

Oznur Buzakci wept as she waited to collect her father’s body from the airport.

She said: “I can't find anything to say. Many people are hurt. On this holy day, they hurt everybody. There is no justice.”

Among those who died were five Saudis, two Iraqis, one Tunisian, an Uzbek, an Iranian, a Ukrainian, a Jordanian and a Chinese national.
