The Walking Dead: Rosita and Eugene get together in the TV show ( Warning spoilers!)

Warning: This article contains The Walking Dead comics spoilers. Story events may not happen on the TV show.

Glenn and Maggie. Abraham and Sasha. We lost two relationships in the span of a few minutes in The Walking Dead's season 7 premiere.

But that's okay. Because soon we might have… Rosita and Eugene?

Yes, that's right. In the comics, Rosita and Eugene actually get together, which is surprising since there doesn't seem to be anything romantic between them as far as the TV show is concerned.

The two friends bond further following Abraham's death, which develops into a proper relationship.

But it doesn't last. They break up and Rosita becomes pregnant with somebody else's child.

And then a pregnant Rosita is killed by the Whisperers, her head discovered on a pike. Oof.

Although we have seen young children die on the series (Sophia in season 2, Jessie's irritating younger son in season 6), the show did 'remix' the events of the Governor's prison attack to leave Judith alive.

Of course, other storylines have been heavily altered, making the transition from comics to TV. Andrea is dead in the TV show, but she's alive and actually Rick's girlfriend in the comics. Michonne is Rick's girlfriend in the TV show, but she had a romance with Ezekiel in the comics — a part that is probably going to be filled in by Carol now, who by the way is long dead in the comics.

Christian Serratos, who plays Rosita, suggested that it could happen… but she's not sure what the showrunners have planned.

"I think that would be really interesting," she told ComicBook.com. "I also think it would be interesting if that didn't happen.

"Scott Gimple has a really amazing way of keeping very true to the comic while also keeping it very interesting, meaning he doesn't necessarily put everything that happens in the comic book in the show.

"There's definitely a spin on the show, and I think that's what's really interesting and what keeps people fascinated. They really don't know what's coming next, even when they think they do."

Whatever happens between Rosita and Eugene on TV, it's clear that they look out for each other.

By the end of episode 4 (spoilers!), Rosita and Eugene begin secretly teaming up to make bullets in an act of defiance against Negan.

For episode 5, we'll be checking in on Hilltop. Here's the official description for that: "Carl and Enid journey to the Hilltop. Meanwhile, Jesus must defend the community against an attack led by the savior Simon."

We know that a mourning Maggie and Sasha are there. And a trailer for the episode sees Gregory in trouble and harassed by the Saviors. Uh-oh.
