Ross Brawn is remaining hopeful that Michael Schumacher will be seen “as we knew him”, and will make a full recovery from his tragic accident that happened a few years ago.

Schumacher was left in a coma three years ago after a tragic skiing accident, which saw him suffer a serious head injury following a nasty fall.

The Formula One legend’s recovery has been slow, but Brawn and the Schumacher family are remaining positive.

Brawn, who was Ferrari team principal during Schumacher’s glory years, told the Guardian: "We’ll go see him and hope and pray that one day he will make a recovery.

“I was quoted as saying he’s improving that it was not what I really meant.”
