If This Happens, You Won’t Have To Pay For Cable To Watch Sports Anymore

Liberals and millennials often brag about being “cable cutters,” claiming that they are fiscally responsible because they don’t pay for a cable television subscription.

What this really means, however, is that they don’t watch sports, which makes them immediately unqualified to talk about anything. Watching sports is a fundamental part of being American, and the fact that it is impossible to watch sports without having a cable subscription means – through the transitive property – that having a cable subscription is a fundamental part of being American.

But that may not always be true. Consider this report about Amazon Prime:

According to the Wall Street Journal, Amazon has held meetings with leagues such as the MLB, NBA and NFL about the possibility of streaming live sports games for Amazon Prime members. If this ever happens, you won’t need to pay $100 a month just to watch football or basketball or baseball. That makes getting rid of cable so much more appealing, and will probably make you regret not signing up for Amazon Prime on Friday when it was on sale for $79.

You can sign up for an Amazon Prime free trial now. Who knows what will happen?
