‘REVOLUTIONARY’: KAEPERNICK LEAVES FOOTBALL

Snoop Dogg joined Fox Sports 1’s “Undisputed” on Wednesday where he stated that Colin Kaepernick needs to make a decision between playing football and being a revolutionary, because he can’t do both.

The San Francisco quarterback has been refusing to stand for the national anthem throughout the NFL season to protest racial injustice in America. His protest was met with a variety of reactions across America with many people seeing it as disrespectful to the flag and the men and women who have served to protect the country it represents.

Kaepernick also recently made some comments praising Cuban dictator Fidel Castro and is under fire once again. 

“He’s sort of kind of hypocritical in so many words because he’s pushing this, but at the same time he’s giving credit for this and this is the same abuse that [Cubans] been taking” the rapper said on “Undisputed.”

“So it makes you hypocritical to be able to speak on this topic and that topic,” he said referring to both Kaepernick’s protest and his comments about Castro.

“One thing that Fidel Castro did do is they have the highest literacy rate because they invest more in their education system than they do in their prison system,” Kaepernick said at a media event. He continued by stating that we don’t do that in the United States “even though we’re fully capable.”

Miami, which has a large Cuban population did not take kindly to the quarterback’s praise of the late dictator. The San Fracisco 49ers played the Miami Dolphins on Sunday where Kaepernick was heavily booed by the crowd throughout the game.

“What I said was I agree with the investment in education. I also agree with the investment in free universal health care, as well as the involvement in helping end apartheid in South Africa,” Kaepernick tried to clarify after losing to Miami. “Trying to push the false narrative that I was a supporter of the oppressive things he [Castro] did is just not true. I said I support the investment in education, I never said I support the oppressive things he [Castro] did.”

Snoop Dogg also disagreed with Kaepernick’s comments and said that it’s time the quarterback choose between playing football and being a social justice warrior.

“You really have to stand for it,” Snoop said of Kaepernick’s intended outcome from the national anthem protest. “I don’t believe he can do that and play football at the same time because there’s too many rules and regulations and things that he has to deal with as opposed to being a revolutionary.”
