Polish Foreign Minister believes Ukraine's accession to NATO will not come true in the near future.

Ukraine's accession to NATO is not Poland's purpose, announced the Foreign Minister Grzegorz Schetyna. This is reported by Coruption.info.

"Today, no one raises the issue of Ukraine's joining NATO since if someone wanted to pick it up, it would create an international problem that could not be resolved," — said the Minister to the "Polish Radіo" on Monday, March 23.

The Polish Foreign Minister was asked to comment on Zbigniew Brzezinski's idea of Ukraine's "Finlandisation," – cooperation with the West without joining NATO and the EU.

"A politician may afford a little less than such an outstanding expert as Professor Brzezinski," – said Schetyna.

He added that "the Ukraine's future is not the subject of Polish actions and next steps.

"We're talking about the road to Europe, the European Union, including how to enable Ukraine to implement the Association Agreement, and about the rest that connects it with Europe," — said Polish Foreign Minister.

"Let's focus on how to open the way to European family for Ukraine. What are the next steps – save that for scholars," – commented Minister Schetyna.

Earlier, French President Francois Hollande hinted that Ukraine's participation in NATO is not desirable for Paris because of Russia's "concerns."
