They stated this at a press conference after the Eastern Partnership summit, Corruption.info reports citing Ukrainian News.
Juncker expressed a positive perspective of the European Union visa-free regime for Ukraine.
"Ukraine and Georgia performed additional provisions of this agreement as part of the visa-free regime realization. The visa liberalization looks very optimistic for them — both for Ukraine and Georgia," he said.
President of the European Council, Donald Tusk supported Juncker's positive forecasts on this subject.
"All the prime ministers, all the presidents — for me it was the signal during the discussion — stressed the importance of the process of visa regime liberalization. I think that the political mood around this matter imposes certain obligations on us and sounds very optimistic," Tusk said.
He stressed that the liberalization of the visa regime will require the consent of all 28 EU member countries.
Earlier, the participants of the summit in Riga reaffirmed the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the countries of the Eastern Partnership.
The final statement of the summit participants noted that the EU is ready to provide visa-free regime for Ukraine and Georgia in the case of a positive report of the EC at the end of the year.Source:http://en.censor.net.ua/n33719
