A scandal between top officials of the two Ukrainian law-enforcement agencies sparked following a recent catastrophic fire at an oil depot near Kyiv. 

Some claims of criminal ties with top Russian tycoons have been voiced as the chiefs of the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Security Service of Ukraine seem to be having a public stand-off, Ukraine Today reports.

Agence France Press looked into the conflict, revealing that it involves a Russian company part-owned by a businessman from Vladimir Putin’s entourage.
