"According to available data, 237 have been arrested as of now," police spokesman Ashot Agaronian said.
According to him, seven protesters received injuries of varying degrees, three of them required hospitalization. "Eleven police officers were also injured," Agaronian said.

The attack of the security forces on demonstrators who rallied in Yerevan all night, began about 4:30 a.m. Kyiv time.

Earlier, several thousand people blocked Bagramyana Avenue, where the residence of President Serzh Sargsyan is located. Residents of the capital took to the protest because of the increase in the cost of housing services.

Municipal police chiefs proposed the protesters to gather an initiative group for talks with the president, but the protesters refused. Security officials have threatened to forcibly disperse the people. In response to the protesters sat down on the road.
