The "DPR" militants retreated from Shyrokine — a village on the coast of Azov Sea 20 km from Mariupol.

They moved two kilometers in the direction of the village of Sakhanka, announcing Shyrokyne demilitarized zone and urging the Ukrainian side to do the same.

The terrorists left completely deserted village and about 80% of destroyed buildings after themselves.

At the moment mine clearing measures are being taken, after which a joint observation point of peacekeeping missions will be set up.

Since the end of February this year previously unremarkable Shyrokine has been a field for large-scale battles between the Ukrainian army and the Donbas terrorists. Despite the ceasefire, each day militants shelled Ukrainian military positions on the village outskirts from heavy artillery.

A few days before the retreat of militants a Censor.NET reporter spent the last combat shift in Shyrokine with the third assault squadron of the Donbas battalion, having defended the village since the end of February.
