Macedonia Islamic State Arrest: Police arrest 9 for involvement in Syria and Iraq

Macedonian police have arrested at least nine people suspected to have fought alongside Islamist insurgents in Syria and Iraq, the interior minister announced on Thursday (August 6).

In a security sweep in four towns, the police forces searched 21 houses, an internet cafe and a mosque in the capital Skopje. An imam was among those arrested.
