After Hungary shut down its border with Serbia on Tuesday, frustrations have erupted into clashes between Hungarian police and those trying to cross the border.
A few hundred migrants tore down the Serbian side of the security fence and rushed toward the Hungarian side on Wednesday. However, they were driven back by police forces who repelled them with water cannons and batons. Smaller groups have continued attempts to cross into Hungary in hopes of getting through to other European countries. Others, meanwhile, have spun off to find new routes.
