Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin insists that Ukrainian lawmakers stop speculating about terminology related to "special status of Donbas."
"There is no special status. There is a law on the peculiarities of local self-government [in Donbas], which was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada. The law which respective amendments to the Constitution refer to is the only document that stipulates special aspects of local self-government. That’s why, I urge [you] to stop speculating about this terminology," Klimkin said in parliament in Kyiv on Wednesday when asked whether the "Normandy Four" leaders agreed in Paris on October 2 that Donbas' special 'self-rule' status should be sealed in the Ukrainian Constitution.
