"We have set up working coordination groups, the composition and status of which can’t be announced at the moment, for obvious reasons. Joint activity is organized to harmonize efforts to address the tasks os fighting ISIL," said Kartapolov.
He stressed that "this close cooperation will allow us bringing together efforts of all government troops and other patriotic forces of the Syrian Arab Republic, formerly in opposition, to form a united front against the common enemy — international terrorism."
The Syrian opposition said it was ready for dialogue with the Kremlin, but demanded Moscow cease the airstrikes.
