"I was present during the detention and seizure this night. A middle-aged woman departing to Istanbul from the Odesa airport was transporting 59 kilos of amber in her suitcases. It was worth of about 9 million UAH ($360,000). The undeclared stones were uncovered by the inspector scanning luggage. The delinquent was released at around 3 a.m. after she had paid 1,700 hryvnia fine (about $68)," Marushevska wrote.
