A unit of the Russian armed forces along with the enhanced "motorized infantry company" of militants have invaded the village of Kominternove in Donetsk region, the Information Resistance Group reports.
It is noted that, despite the declared "complete ceasefire" during the holidays, the Russian-terrorist troops in Donbas continue to actively attack (including with the use of Grad multiple rocket launchers and anti-tank guided missile systems) and continue to occupy new territories in the so-called "gray zone" in the seaside direction.
In particular, in the "Kominternove zone" (Vodiane-Kominternove-Zayichenko) the militants are expanding their presence, transferring additional forces and fortifying positions in the area. They relocate forces and means to the right flank: from the town of Novoazovsk toward the village of Zayichenko, in addition to the previously deployed weapons, they relocated another six units of armored combat vehicles (mainly BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles, two MT-LB light multi-purpose armored towing vehicles with ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft twin-barreled autocannons). Another armored group is moving from the Khomutovskiy steppe – three MBTs, two MT-LBs (with two MT-12 towed antitank guns), four BTR-80 amphibious armored personnel carriers and a BRDM-2 amphibious armored patrol car.
"Together with the enhanced "motorized infantry company" of militants, a unit of the Russian armed forces invaded Kominternove. There were attempts of the Russian servicemen to restrict multiple acts of looting by the DPR militants in this settlement," the Information Resistance Group said.
The use of anti-tank guided missile systems by the militants was recorded near the village of Hranitne. In particular, an infantry group of militants, who had previously held positions near the village of Krasniy Oktiabr, moved on vehicles with anti-tank guided missile systems to the forefront north of Hranitne, toward the village of Novohryhorivka. The militants took a position and fired anti-tank guided missile systems twice in the direction of a Ukrainian fortified position northwest of Hranitne.
In addition, near the town of Horlivka, the militants fired small arms and two AGS-17 automatic grenade launchers on the Ukrainian army positions in the area between the villages of Shumy and Mayorsk.
