Rihanna celebrated her 28th in style at Via Alloro in Beverly Hills over the weekend.

Despite cancelling some scheduled promotional appearances through sickness and suffering major setbacks with her upcoming Anti world tour, Rihanna didn’t seem to show any signs of illness as she celebrated her 28th birthday in style at the weekend.

The Barbadian superstar, who pulled out of the Grammys last week citing a case of bronchitis as the reason for her cancellation, seemed to be wholly recovered as she partied on Saturday night (February 20th), as evidenced by her Snapchat account.

A picture captioned ‘Burfffdayy Queennn” has been doing the rounds, featuring her dancing and twerking to Fetty Wap’s ‘My Way’, as she toted an impressively-sized glass of red wine at Via Alloro in Beverly Hills. A female friend could be heard shouting “Spin for me! Spin for me!” as RiRi danced in the short video.

Despite the partying, Rihanna’s planned promotional tour of North America has been beset by production delays and technical difficulties, as it was announced late last week that the start date of the Anti tour would be March 12th in Jacksonville, Florida, with the eight affected dates re-arranged for late May. Additionally, two British dates were cancelled altogether with no news of possible re-arrangements.

Rumours abounded a few days after the cancelled Grammy performance that Rihanna had thrown a major tantrum at producers during final rehearsals and had stormed off, with the illness just a cover story, according to industry insiders in a report by TMZ.

“Based on Rihanna’s examination, after Grammy rehearsal today, Rihanna’s doctor put her on vocal rest for 48 hours because she was at risk of haemorrhaging her vocal chords,” a representative for the singer told New York Daily News last week.
