A TEENAGE Moroccan girl who cops now say was furious at having to move away from the Islamic State has been arrested following a shocking stabbing attack on a German officer.
Breitbart reports that the 15-year-old was wearing a headscarf when she was approached by the officer at a Hanover train station in November.
In startling footage captured by surveillance cameras, the girl can be seen fishing a giant kitchen knife out of her purse and stabbing the officer while he examined her identity documents.
The officer was struck in the neck before his fellow officials piled onto the girl and brought her siege to an end.
“When the officer slightly turned away to check her identity, with lightning speed she stabbed him,” a colleague said.
“(He) had no chance to defend himself”.
The colleague said it was a miracle the officer survived.
Now, months later, authorities have confirmed the motive behind the attack.
The girl had reportedly spent time living on the Turkish-Syrian border and was reportedly angry that she could not rejoin her IS compatriots.
The girl, a German passport holder, had previously been involved in multiple alleged crimes including theft and assault prior to the callous attack.
An identical incident in Israel was reported on in November, when a Palestinian woman calmly approached a security guard at a West Bank checkpoint and handed over her identity documents. While the man was distracted inspecting the papers, she took a knife out of her handbag and started ferociously stabbing him.
The officer was injured and managed to shoot the assailant, who lived.
