At 19 years old, Alexandra Andresen is the world’s youngest billionaire with a fortune estimated to be worth $1.2 billion… and apparently, pretty much all she does with that money is ride horses competitively.
Along with her older sister Katharina, Alexandra shares a 44.2% stake in investment company Ferd, which their great-great-great grandfather started in 1849 when he bought a tobacco factory and turned it into the leading cigarette maker in Norway for over 150 years. Then in 2005 they sold their share for $500 million and the already rich became even richer.
But instead of buying yacht after yacht or having a vanity acting-slash-modeling career, Alexandra seems to drop all her cash on horses.
And get this, when she’s not busy riding horses, Alexandra is busy saving money.
In an interview for her family’s company’s corporate magazine, Alexandra said, “I actually save all the time, I have always done. I save when I get my weekly allowance, and I save the cash prizes I win in competitions or if I get money as a gift for my birthday. It means I can buy myself things I really want, like a bag or a pair of shoes, without having to ask mum or dad for money.”
Oh well, at least her 24-year-old mixed martial arts fighter boyfriend looks cute.
Don’t you hate it when tobacco family fortunes get wasted on the fiscally responsible?
