Woman arrested after smuggling stash of cocaine inside her BREASTS

A YOUNG woman has been arrested at an international airport after she tried to smuggle a stash of cocaine inside her own breasts.

The 24-year-old mother-of-three now faces years behind bars after the drug bust — of her bust.

The woman from Colombia had complained to Frankfurt airport officials about severe breast pain.

Doctors alerted officials after noticing unusual fresh operation scars below the woman's breasts during an airport search on February 24.

The medics were shocked at the "amateurish signs of surgery".

She was rushed to hospital where doctors eventually removed two 500-gram lumps of cocaine wrapped in plastic from each of her breasts.

The woman has since admitted to carrying drugs, which were inserted into her body during a "hastily arranged" operation.

The drugs have a market value of £155,000 and were destined for Spain, according to an airport customs official.

The spokesman Hans-Juergen Schmidt said: "This is the first case in Germany in whch drugs have been smuggled in this fashion."

He added that the discovery revealed how drugs smugglers "are completely indifferent to human life and the life-threatening conditions of their drug carriers."

The woman, who worked in agriculture in her home country, will now be charged with drug trafficking.

The unusual drug find is not the first time breast implants have been used as a secret smuggling technique.

Two years ago, a 48-year-old woman from Colombia was stopped at Madrid airport with £71,000 worth of cocaine inside her breasts.
