Ruger suppressors are now a reality with the introduction of the company’s first suppressor: the Ruger Silent-SR.
The Silent-SR Ruger suppressor is designed for .22 LR, .22 WMR and .17 HMR rifles and pistols. In testing, the company found that this new suppressor reduced sound pressure levels by as much as 40 decibels.
The Silent-SR is full-auto rated and features a standard 1/2″-28 thread pattern that is compatible with most rimfire firearms with threaded barrels.
Overall length of the Silent-SR is 5.37 inches with a diameter of 1.06 inches. Overall weight is 6.3 ounces. The Ruger suppressor tube is made from titanium and holds seven stainless steel baffles along with a stainless steel front cap and threaded mount and an aluminum rear cap.
The outer tube features a Cerakote finish.
For easy cleaning and disassembly, the baffles are designed to come out of the tube once the muzzle mount is removed from the outer tube.
The Ruger suppressor design features an interlocking feature between the outer tube and muzzle mount to prevent accidental disassembly when removing the suppressor from your firearm. Suggested retail for the Silent-SR is $449.
