VIGILANTE migrants took the law into their own hands when they dragged a man through a squalid refugee camp after he 'raped' a seven-year-old child.
The man was pushed and shoved through the Idomeni camp on the Greek and Macedonia border and handed straight to police.
Images appeared today of a vigilante gang guarding their prisoner as they made their way towards authorities.
Their captive, dressed in a beige sweater and camouflage trousers, was dragged to a police station after he allegedly raped a child.
The photographer who took the harrowing images could not confirm if the girl being escorted just a few behind him was the victim.
However, they said if the police station had been further away "he may have been in serious trouble".
The photographer said the men hit and kicked the fellow migrant with one brandishing a belt to hit him on the head.
Around 46,000 migrants and refugees are currently stranded in Greece after several Balkan states shut their borders to them.
Of these, around 14,000 are camped out in the border town of Idomeni, desperately hoping to move on towards Germany or Scandinavia.
Some Idomeni refugees waded through a raging stream to cross into Macedonia this week, only to be sent back bloody and bruised.
Borders have shut across Europe’s main bloc in recent months in a bid to stem the flow of over 1m migrants coming form Africa and war torn Syria.
