In his return trip home, Trump will kick things off in Long Island with a rally tonight that is expected to have over 12,000 people in attendance.
newyork.cbslocal.com reports: BETHPAGE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) — Donald Trump holds his first rally in New York Wednesday, with the Republican front-runner appearing in Bethpage.
The event ahead of the state’s primary on April 19 comes a day after Trump’s presidential campaign hit a bump Tuesday with a loss to Ted Cruz in the Wisconsin primary.
Acting Police Commissioner Thomas Krumpter anticipates as many as 12,000 attendees will be at the rally at Grumman Studios, including groups of demonstrators.
Many supporters arrived for the event wearing red hats bearing Trump’s slogan, “Make America Great Again.”
