CAGED: Vile paedophile raped 11-year-old TWICE before taping her eyes shut & running away

A SICK paedophile who raped an 11-year-old girl twice before taping her eyes shut and abandoning her has been jailed.

Sex monster Paul Ripley, 53, – dubbed “parents worst nightmare” – abducted his young victim last November as she walked home alone at around 7pm.

Ripley will face between ten and 16 years in prison as part of 24 years of supervision after the judge branded him “the living embodiment of every parent’s worst nightmare”.

The vile sex criminal drove up alongside his victim after she left her friend’s house, before bundling her into the passenger seat of his car and racing away from the scene.

As the girl’s panicked parents searched for her and called the police, Ripley drove his victim hundreds of miles away.

He went on to stop at a field where he raped the 11-year-old twice.

After carrying out the revolting act, Ripley wrapped duct tape around the young girl’s eyes and mouth and discarded her in a small village near Darlington, County Durham in the early hours of the morning.

The terrified young victim was then forced to flag down a taxi, telling the driver: “I don't know where I am. I've been raped.”

But it was not long before the barbaric paedophile was brought to justice.

Police tracked down the disgusting child rapist, catching him within hours of the attack on the M6 in Lancashire.

In a statement to the court, her mother said: "I can only imagine what my daughter went through that night. The pain, confusion, panic and fear.

"What that man did to her that night has changed her and changed me forever.

"I can't and never will understand what drives a human being to do what he did.

"The thought is disgusting, it makes my skin crawl."

Ripley later admitted to two counts of rape, kidnap and dangerous driving.

Judge Nicholas Woodward said: "This must have been a harrowing ordeal where you specifically targeted a vulnerable child for your own sexual gratification.

"Children's freedom in modern society is affected by the concern caused by people like you.

"You are a very dangerous man, that is to say you present a significant risk to members of the public.

"In short, you are the living embodiment of every parent's worst nightmare."
