Justin Bieber has shown off a new, streamlined haircut.

The pop star debuted a closely-shorn buzz cut on Instagram on Friday, after ditching his much-criticized blonde dreadlocks.

The 22-year-old shared a fuzzy selfie that appeared to be taken backstage before his Friday night concert at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC.

The Sorry singer wears a white and grey sweatshirt and faint stubble.

Justin, who is currently on his Purpose North American tour, appears a little tired, with bags under his eyes.

He also shared a second selfie, giving a close-up of his new look.

The musician surprised fans with his messy blonde dreads on April 2.

However, he has long been experimenting with his hair, including trying out cornrows while on vacation with model Hailey Baldwin in St. Bart's earlier this year.

Later on Friday night, he shared another photo showing himself standing halfway up the steps of a private jet.

He stands looking pensive with his hands in the pockets of his ripped jeans.

He's wearing the same baggy sweater he had on in the previous snaps.
