A SPEECH by an alleged Muslim extremist in a Marquee in Luton called for gay people to be thrown to their deaths from a tall building, the Old Bailey has been told.
The jury was played a secret recording of a speech given in the back garden of a home in the Luton suburbs to an audience that included men accused of drumming up support for the Islamic State.
The west London speaker – who cannot be named for legal reasons – allegedly hit out at the Gay Pride parade that is organised in London each year.
Security is expected to ramped up at Gay Pride events over the next fortnight including the main Pride Festival in London's Trafalgar Square after the Orlando gay nightclub massacre – which left 49 dead.
The unnamed man, referred to only as ‘Mohammed’, said: "When the parliament are making laws and having Gay Pride today in the UK, Gay Pride, where's the pride in being gay?
"There's no pride in being gay.
"Praise be to god the people haven't caught you, or it's high buildings for you.”
Throwing gay men off buildings is the favoured method of execution by Islamic State jihadis.
ISIS claims it got its methods of slaughtering homosexuals from the Hadith – an ancient collection of sayings that second hand sources attributed to the Prophet Mohammad 200 years after his death.
One particular Hadith claims gay men “should be thrown from a tremendous height and then stoned”.
The speaker went on: "Brothers there is no time to sleep in your chair, no time for relaxation, we should be asking for forgiveness every night.
"Oh Allah, forgive that we're living amongst these people and we're not completing our duty towards you.
"Don't feel sorry for any British in Tunisia, don't feel sorry for any factory workers in France, don't feel sorry for any temple worshippers in Kuwait. We do not feel sorry for these people.
"This is your faith brothers and let it ignite because the spark has been lit. You know the rest.
The man is currently being tried in court alongside four others on charges related to extremism.
