Shooting and Hostage Situation Underway in Bangladesh

A shooting and hostage situation is underway in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, the U.S. Embassy in Dhaka said.

The situation is unfolding in Gulshan, a neighborhood popular with foreigners.

U.S. State Department spokesman John Kirby said today all U.S. Chief of Mission personnel are accounted for.
