On Wednesday morning, prominent journalist Pavlo Sheremet died as the car he drove exploded a few dozen meters from his house.
It happened at the corner of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi and Ivan Franko Streets in front of the McDonald's restaurant.
This car belonged to Olena Prytula, the owner of Ukrainska Pravda, while she was not in the car. The explosion occurred at 7:45 a.m., after Sheremet drove just a few dozen meters.
The police have arrived at the scene.
As at 8:50 a.m., National Police chief Khatia Dekanoidze was present at the site of tragedy.
In the last five years, Sheremet has lived in Kyiv, worked for Ukrainska Pravda and was a host at Vesti radio.
