A CROWDFUNDING page that hopes to stop Brexit and prosecute Leave politicians including Boris Johnson has received more than £100,000.
Dubbed Brexit Justice, the campaign hopes to find a judicial review to prevent Britain from launching Article 50 negotiations and leaving the European Union.
The Remainers also intend to "prosecute vote Leave leaders based upon fraud, misconduct in public office, undue influence and, possibly, inciting racial hatred".
The campaigners, who said they would need "a war chest" to gather the funds require, have raised £100,000 in a matter of days.
On June 23 Britain took to the polls in the EU Referendum — which saw the Leave side win with a 52 per cent of the votes.
But campaign founder Marcus Ball claims the result should not be accepted because the Leave campaign "was built on ignorance and emotion, not evidence."
Mr Ball said: "Imagine a world in which politicians are too scared to lie to their people. A world in which our elected leaders are brave, decent, honest people that we can trust.
"I want to live in that world, I think it would be a much better place to be."
The campaign plans to formally contract professional lawyers "at a fraction of their normal fees", with Mr Ball acting as the claimant in any future legal case.
He says he has already initiated talks with several "legal professionals who have agreed to work with us but we are not yet at liberty to name them."
The campaign has received support on Twitter from Lord Alan Sugar, AC Grayling and Paloma Faith, and they hope to raise more than £250,000.
Leave supporters have been left fuming at the news and said people should respect the referendum's result.
Tom Slater, organiser of Invoke Article 50 NOW!, said: "Brexit Justice is a campaign that unashamedly wants to overturn the will of 17.4million people.
"As for the campaign's suggestion that Leave voters were duped by the 'lies' of the Leave campaign, it just shows how stupid people like Marcus Ball think the British public is.
"For the sake of democracy, we must all resist these snobby, anti-democratic schemes."
Social media users have also blasted the campaign.
Twitter user Matty said: "Keep seeing these tweets 'demanding #BrexitJustice '. I take it they want to follow the will of the majority, not live in a dictatorship?"
Another said: "This is daylight robbery, majority voted #LeaveEU."
While tweeter Mehran added: "How about prosecuting all those politicians who lied to us for over 40 years about the EC/EU."
