Terrifying moment police helicopter crashes over slums in Nairobi

Shocking video shows the moment a police helicopter crashed while flying over the slums of Nairobi, Kenya. 

The helicopter is seen hovering in the air above Mathare slums before its blades appear to lose power.

It then begins a spinning nose dive towards terrified onlookers.

The filmer captured the extraordinary moment the chopper hit the ground.

Miraculously, all four people aboard survived. The injured included three police officers and one engineer from AgustaWestland, the helicopter’s manufacturer.

They were hospitalised and were in stable condition by Friday, according to reports.

Local press say this is the second helicopter crash in less than a month, and has left police without a chopper.

It's reported the pilot tried to make a hard landing when it nose dived, before landing on its back.
