Deer tries to break into car after being run over

The deer had been crossing a New Jersey road when it was hit by a driver around 8pm on September 17.

But rather than give in to the motorist, the deer attempted to break into the car to seek revenge.

Dashcam footage captured by a police officer shows the deer being struck by the driver.

Moments later, the deer can be seen trying to launch into the car as the driver opens her car door.

It launches into the car before the driver slams the door shut.
Nicholas Austin, from Howell Police, saw the driver then kick the deer out of the car and slam the door shut.

Sadly, the deer died due to its injuries but not without putting up a fight, the officer said.

The driver escaped with no injuries.
