Matt LeBlanc tweets first photo back at work on Top Gear

Matt LeBlanc is back at work on Top Gear.

The TV host, who will be stepping into the driver’s seat on his own for the next series, has tweeted a photo of himself back on set.

The pic shows him walking with two men in what appears to be a large warehouse – but no cars.

He captioned the snap: ‘Back to work on TG.’

Excited fans left messages of support for him with one posting: ‘I’m so proud of you MATT !!!’

While another said: ‘Cannot wait for the next season !! #TopGear.’
Neither can we!

LeBlanc has replaced Chris Evans as the main presenter on the BBC motoring show after signing a new two-series deal.

Evans left the show after one series 

He will be joined by Chris Harris and Rory Reid along with regular appearances from Eddie Jordan, Sabine Schmitz and the Stig.

Patrick Holland, BBC2’s channel editor, said: ‘I am thrilled that Matt LeBlanc is returning to Top Gear.
‘He’s a huge talent whose love of cars is infectious. I can’t wait for the series to return to BBC2 next year.’

Evans was ditched from the show after just one series with fans complaining about his presenting style while viewing figures plummeted.
