Miss Iceland has the perfect response after being told she’s too fat by beauty contest
Miss Iceland had a great response for the owner of a beauty event after he told her she needed to lose weight.
Arna Ýr Jónsdóttir didn’t curse Nawat Itsaragrisil out and tell him to stick his pageant when he suggested she skip breakfast and just eat salads.
Nor did she accept what he said and frantically try to lose weight in time for the Miss Grand International final in Las Vegas on Tuesday.
Instead she told him the truth, she’s a member of the Icelandic national athletics team and loves her broader shoulders.
‘If the owner of the contest really wants me to lose weight and doesn’t like me the way I am, then he doesn’t deserve to have me in the Top 10,’ Miss Iceland 2015 said, according to the Iceland Monitor.
‘Yes, my shoulders are a bit broader than the other girls’ but that is because I was a member of the Icelandic national athletics team and I am proud of that.
‘Of course, I don’t take these comments to heart, but to do my best then hear this… Personally, I think I’m fine as I am.’
