Why Magaluf and not Ibiza should be your next weekend sun break (honestly)
Let’s be honest, when you think of Magaluf you think of rowdy British youngsters doing shots until 3am and performing sex acts for free alcohol.
But it turns out that if you take a right turn away from the strip and towards the beach you will discover a whole other Magaluf – one that will give you a holiday experience that can include a morning in the spa followed by sunbathing and a cocktail around the pool, good music, good food, and some of the best sunsets Spain has to offer.

The bay of Magaluf has white sands and a sea the colour that Instagram bloggers can only dream of getting with a filter.
The town is also undergoing a five-year regeneration plan in collaboration with hotel chains, the town council, the Brtitish consulate, and the police, and with the plan only one year, you can already see a difference.
Casual restaurants and cocktail bars line the beach front while hotel chains such the ultra cool ME hotel have opened, along with the Ibiza staple Nikki Beach.
If sipping champagne around the pool rather than body shots in a grimy bar is more your style, then Magaluf is the place to visit.
