Dubawi to stand at career high of 250,000

DARLEY'S flagship stallion Dubawi will stand at a fee of £250,000 at Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket for the 2017 breeding season. The 14-year-old son of Dubai Millennium stood this year at £225,000.

At Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale earlier this month he was responsible for three of the top five lots including the two colts who topped the auction at 2,600,000gns.

This year he has been represented by the Group 1-winning fillies Wuheida and Journey, and Canadian International hero Erupt.

Dubawi's studmate New Approach has had his fee halved to £30,000 from £60,000.

The son of Galileo, who supplied three Royal Ascot winners including champion Dawn Approach in his first crop, stood at £50,000 in 2013 and at £80,000 in 2014 and 2015.

New to Dalham Hall Stud for 2017 are Group 1-winning miler Territories, who has had his fee set at £12,000, and 2014's Group 1 Middle Park Stakes hero Charming Thought who will stand at £8,000.

Also at Dalham, Ribchester's sire Iffraaj has had his fee increased from £22,500 to £27,500, while Golden Horn remains unchanged at £60,000.

Fresh from Thunder Snow providing his sire with his first Group 1 winner on Sunday, first-season sire Helmet has had his fee raised from £8,000 to £10,000. Fellow freshman sire Sepoy is unchanged at £15,000.

Kildangan Stud flagbearer Shamardal remains at a private fee for the second year running.

2,000 Guineas winner Night Of Thunder, a son of Dubawi, has had his fee reduced from €30,000 to €25,000 for his second season at stud.

Kildangan Stud welcomes dual Group 1 winner Belardo and this year's Middle Park Stakes scorer The Last Lion to its roster for 2017. Belardo will stand at €15,000 while The Last Lion will cover at a fee of €12,000.

It also added Fast Company, the sire of Irish 1,000 Guineas heroine Jet Setting, to its ranks and he will stand at a fee of €7,000.

Exceed And Excel's price is on the rise from €40,000 to €50,000 while Teofilo will stand at a reduced fee of €40,000, down from €50,000 this year.

Darley have added three new sires to their Club scheme in Bow Creek, Buratino and Toormore. Toormore will stand at a fee of £5,000, Buratino at €5,000 and Bow Creek at €4,000.

Haras du Logis's roster is headed by Authorized who remains at €10,000 for 2017 and Manduro, who will stand at an unchanged fee of €7,000.

Australian Group 1 winner Exosphere will shuttle to the French base and stand at a fee for €6,000.
