Gordon Elliott is "not certain" Apple's Jade will run in the WKD Hurdle at Down Royal on Friday.

The four-year-old filly is now in training with Elliott, having finished second in the Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham before claiming Grade One honours at Aintree and at Punchestown for Willie Mulllins.

Apple's Jade, owned by Gigginstown House Stud, was given an entry in the two-mile Grade Two at Down Royal on Monday, but her participation has yet to be confirmed.

Elliott told the Irish Times: "She will work during the week, and I'll chat to Michael and Eddie (O'Leary, of Gigginstown), but I'm not certain she'll run.

"Obviously we haven't got her long and we want to do the right thing by her, and there's a nice race at Naas for her, too."
