Dez Bryant on Tony Romo: throwing ‘missiles’, has new abs now

It's a special season thus far for the 6-1 Dallas Cowboys, a team that many predicted to be anything but due to the injury to franchise quarterback Tony Romo.

They'll take their six-game win streak north to face a Cleveland Browns team that has yet to land a win in 2016, but the Cowboys will do so with rookie Dak Prescott at the reigns once again as Romo awaits medical clearance before returning to the field.

On Thursday, Romo returned to the field leading the scout team as he did just a week prior.

When asked his thoughts on the veteran's progress, All-Pro Dez Bryant explained it in only a way he can.

"The way he [Tony Romo] been working," Bryant said. "He been working, I'll give him that. Thought I seen a couple abs on him."

Leave it to Bryant to describe the progress of Romo so succinctly, and with a good lighthearted jab at his franchise QB.

He went on to note Romo has been throwing 'missiles' in practice as he leads the scout team, awaiting medical clearance to return to full practice duties. Although no formal timetable has been listed for when the four-time pro bowler will return, Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones noted on Wednesday that Romo will be ready when the team needs him.
