Furious protests continue to take place across the US in the wake of Donald Trump’s shock election as president.
A man was shot n Portland, Oregon, where police were forced to use tear gas and flash-bang grenades after hundreds of people marched through the city.

The anti-Trump demonstrators disrupted traffic and left a trail of graffiti, while authorities said ‘burning projectiles’ were thrown at officers.
Portland is not the only major US city to witness protests sparked by the election of the Republican.
Marches also took place in Miami, Florida, in Atlanta, Georgia, and Los Angeles and Bakersfield, California.
Hundreds of people attended a ‘love rally’ in Washington Square Park in Manhattan, New York City.
‘I don’t want to live in a country where my friends aren’t included, and my friends are fearful, and my children are going to grow up in a world that’s frightening, and my granddaughters can look forward to being excluded from jobs and politics and fulfilling their potential, so I’m here for them.’
However, tensions remain fraight in other parts of the nation, including in the capital Washington DC, where a group of protesters chanted ‘not my president’ and ‘no Trump, no KKK, no fascist USA’.
