The writers of The Simpsons seem to have a third eye when it comes to predicting the future of America.
They were spot on about Donald Trump taking the keys to the White House 16 years before the election results.
Donald Trump is 'just like Berlusconi', according to Berlusconi
But in 2007 they also predicted that Terminator’s Arnold Schwarzenegger would be making all the big decisions for the US – and we’re starting to buy into it.
To be fair, as the former governor of California he has a lot more political experience than Trump.
In The Simpsons Movie, Schwarzenegger is asked to make a tough decision about the future of Springfield, but simply responds: ‘I was elected to lead, not to read.’
In the US constitution it states: ‘No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President.’
Many people have disputed this and believe it doesn’t mean you have to be born in one of the 50 states to be a ‘natural born citizen’.
So The Simpsons might be on a winning streak here.
