Chris Weidman Releases First Statement Following Brutal UFC New York Loss

Former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman made his UFC 205 scrap with Yoel Romero a hell of a fight, but after a back-and-forth bout Weidman was finished off with a flying knee from the Olympic silver medalist.

It wasn’t the fairytale Weidman had hoped for, after a hard fought campaign to get MMA legalized in his home state of New York. Instead of celebrating with his local friends and family he was on the hospital bed getting stitched up.

What’s next for Weidman is an unknown, now that he’s dropped two straight fights. He is however keeping his head up though, which is a great sign for fight fans.
