Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians has been hospitalized after dealing with chest pains. ESPN reporter Adam Schefter broke news of the coach’s malady on Twitter Monday morning.
It’s not the first time Arians has had to make a trip to the hospital in 2016. He left one of the team’s preseason practices with stomach pains back in August. Arians wound up staying overnight and was diagnosed with diverticulitis.
If his last trip to the hospital is any indication, he’ll have his players firmly in his corner for support.
Mathieu, who has a close relationship with Arians, said he already heard from the coach Monday.
Arizona fell to 4-5-1 on Sunday after losing to Minnesota on the road. The Cardinals will face Atlanta in Week 12, ideally with their head coach back in the fold.
