UFO enthusiasts are going nuts over this giant 'blue sphere' captured on a NASA satellite.
Caught on November 17th, images of this mysterious alleged extra-terrestrial spacecraft — uploaded to Facebook by Pamela Johnson — purport to show it scaling the surface of the Sun, which, for reference, can fit 1.3 million Earths. So this UFO is a mean gargantuan bastard.
Conspiracy theorists reckon that because the pictures were uploaded to NASA's Stereo Science Centre website without any explanation of the moving sphere, there could be some sort of cover-up going on.

Others, however, say that this is merely an example of a "corrupted image" of the planet that happens when the stereo image processor becomes "overloaded," AKA over-exposed.
NASA explained (thankfully, cause I ain't got a fucking clue what the hell I'm talking about here): "On rare occasions, the SECCHI image processor on board STEREO becomes overloaded, and produces corrupted images. Because the images from the Heliospheric Imager (HI) telescopes are built up from a large number of exposures added together, this sometimes results in 'double exposures,' where data from several telescopes appear in the same image."
Aah… it's a lot more fun to think it's a UFO, isn't it?
