The V&A Museum and South Kensington tube stations were evacuated this afternoon after a hoax bomb scare.'
Police were called to the Victoria and Albert Museum on Cromwell Road shortly before 3pm this afternoon following the security alert.

A worker at the Science Museum, which is next door to the V&A across Exhibition Road, said that the Natural History Museum had also been evacuated.
He also said the Science Museum was not currently letting anyone in. Police reiterated that it was not evacuated.
A cordon was put in place along the A4 Cromwell Road and Brompton Road with hundreds of people in the area following the evacuation.
A police spokesman said: ‘The museum was evacuated as a precaution and temporary local road closures were put in place. The incident has now been stood down.’
