Russia recognizes backwardness of its defense industry secto

"Rosoboronexport" CEO's adviser: Russia has lost half of its defense industry sector 
Alexander Bryndykov, the head of the advisory group to "Rosoboronexport" CEO, announced that although Russia is currently ranked as the second among countries exporting weapons and military equipment, it has significant problems in this area.
According to the adviser, these problems are not related to marketing, but are caused by Russia's loosing competitiveness in many areas of the defense industry.
Mr Bryndykov emphasized that earlier, for example, Russia artillery systems were superior to Swedish, but at this stage they are not.
 
Earlier, a survey, conducted among the Russian citizens, showed that a significant proportion of Russians believes in revival of their country's power.
