NATO has commented on the column of American military equipment, which on Monday, March 30, arrived to the Czech capital.

А column of 115 units includes tanks and armored personnel carriers of the 2nd Mechanized Regiment of the U.S. Army.

General Philip Breedlove, the Supreme Allied Commander Europe, said that a convoy of military vehicles, traveling in Europe, is "a gesture of support." This was also confirmed by the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic, stating that the purpose of the convoy was "demonstration of unity of NATO member states."

He said this during his visit to Bucharest on Tuesday, March 31, Reuters news agency informs.

Currently, the Romanian authorities discuss the issue of whether to place NATO heavy weapons on the territory of the country.
