The Ukrainian authorities will adjust Ukrainian servicemen's salaries according to inflation indexes. This is reported by Coruption.Info.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko announced this during a visit to Ternopil.

The president mentioned the earlier promised rewards to be paid to soldiers participating in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) for the destruction of the enemy's military equipment and successful operations, and pledged to raise active duty soldiers' basic pays according to inflation indexes.

"I am confident that we will now take steps to carry out [wages] indexing. In addition, the government adopted a resolution under which [active duty soldiers] should be paid up to UAH 1,000 per every day of participation in military operations when enlisted in the field diary and included in field orders," Poroshenko said.

According to him, Ukrainian soldiers have already been paid over UAH 1 million for the destruction of the enemy's equipment.

"As of today, more than UAH 1 million has already been paid, as was reported by ATO and Defense Ministry's senior officers," the president said.
